Course Description Theatre Studies Sixthform
In the AS course students will develop as confident and independent interpreters of drama and theatre. They should assimilate theatrical concepts through practical and analytical exploration of dramatic styles and theatrical methods. They should recognise the importance of both discipline and cooperation within practical drama. The A Level course will broaden and deepen the knowledge, skills and understanding acquired at AS Level. Students are required to attend live theatre performances in the evening.

The AS course builds on the work studied for GCSE drama although this is not a prerequisite for entry.
