Course Title | Physics | Awarding Body | AQA | Course Level | AS & A2 |  | Course Content - AS Students will study the nature of particles, quantum phenomena and electricity. This is followed by developing understanding of the laws of motion, energy and power as well as the properties of materials and the nature of waves.
Course Content - A2 Students will continue their study of mechanics as they study circular and simple harmonic motion as well as the nature of fields. Furthermore, as study of nuclear and thermal physics is followed by the option of studying astrophysics, medical physics, applied physics or turning points in our understanding of physics. | Assessment | Both courses contain assessment designed to develop the students' practical and investigative skills.
