I'm about to start my final year at Warwick Uni in September, although this year I took a year out to work in industry so I'll be working there until the beginning of September. I've been working for a pharmaceutical company down in Oxford designing and making drugs for diabetes/cancer.Currently I’m torn between getting a job after next year, somewhere in synthetic organic chemistry, or doing a PhD again in org synth. I haven’t given up on teaching yet, but at the moment I’m more likely to head towards become an academic and teach at University rather than at high school I think...but I'll change my mind again soon! Again I haven’t decided yet which route to go for, but I have to do a research project next year with one of the lecturers so I will get to see academic research as well as industrial.

I heard from people the Mr Wagg retired this year! Seems strange really...especially as it was him who got me interested in chemistry in the first place all those years ago!

I'm still in touch with my entire group of friends from Ashlawn along with a few others. I don't know if you use it, but there is a Facebook group for our old year...and looking through it I think there’s probably about 75% of the year are members of it.
