School FacilitiesOur site, two miles from Rugby town centre, overlooks extensive playing fields and the open countryside beyond.

Classrooms for English, Humanities, Mathematics and Modern Languages are arranged in suites. There is a sports hall and gymnasia, a large assembly hall, a Drama studio, Design and Technology areas, thirteen Science laboratories and specialist rooms for Art, Careers, I.T., Media Studies, Music and Personal and Social Education which includes the teaching of Religious Education.

There is a Sixth Form Study Centre with specialist rooms for teaching A Level and Vocational subjects and a well-resourced library, as well as six computer network rooms including two Integrated Learning Systems.

Supervised after school study sessions are available between 8.45 am and 4.30 pm in the school library on Tuesday too Thursday, 8.45am and 3.30 Monday and Friday. The Sixth Form Study centre is available exclusively for sixth form students.

The school has been very successful in attracting major funding to develop many curricular areas: Technology, Information Technology, Science, Flexible and Integrated Learning and Media Studies have all benefited from additional funding.

Students with physical disabilities are able to access all areas of the curriculum from the ground floor accommodation

Students can buy healthy hot and cold cafeteria meals or use the new healthy sandwich bar.

Awards

On Wednesday 8th December 2 students from Ashlawn School competed against other local secondary schools to qualify for the Regional Final of ‘Young Chef of the Year'.
