On Wed 15th June we welcomed Richard Chillingsworth, President of the Coventry Model Car Club, to talk to students from Ashlawn and local junior schools about the exciting and competitive world of high speed electric car racing.

After an in depth look at the types of cars and racing available, plus a guide to costs for Christmas lists, they headed outside for a chance to get 'hands on'. Some students had brought their own cars in, from small electric remote control cars to big noisy nitro's.

All started well, but when the rain came there were a few near misses... a bit of tinkering soon sorted the problems and the cars lived to race another day!

Many thanks to Mrs and Mrs Chillingsworth and the CMCC.
