Maths Challenge

Congratulations to all the students in Year 11 who competed in the recent UKMT (United Kingdom Mathematics Trust) Intermediate Maths Challenge.

Thirty nine students took part in the national challenge with 8 students achieving a Bronze award, seven achieving Silver and four students achieving Gold. Congratulations to Nancy Zheng who won a Gold award and was invited to take part in the next round; the ‘European Kangaroo Qualifier’. Nancy sat this paper on 19th March with students from all across Europe and should know the results in the next couple of weeks. Good Luck.
Good Luck to all the Year 7 and 8 students who are taking the Junior Maths Challenge in April.

Bronze: Krishan TAILOR, Sophie JONES, Josh SLADE, Charlotte GRIFFIN, Dom COWDEROY, James DAWSON, Esther OLUTOBI and Viresh MISTRY.

Silver: Katie PRYCE, Wei Xing HUANG, Sophie BURNETT, Elliott YOUDS, Anais CALDWELL-JONES, Lauren PRIEST and Hanish VAGJELA.

Gold: Nancy ZHENG, Leah BINGHAM, James MORROW and James ROBINSON.

Just like to say that the year nine class managed to get a gold and quite a few silvers and bronzes so well done!!!

Our trip to Land Rover, Gaydon was an amazing experience. We went to Landover on the 7/7/09 at 9:00 about 17 of us went with Mrs Taylor and Mr Cunningham, we went in a mini bus and when we got there a person that worked there told us what we would be doing throughout the day.
