This Friday we will be hosting Ashlawn Pathways: Oxbridge and Russell Group University Destinations. This conference is part of Ashlawn's programme of events aimed at providing accelerated learning opportunites and improving access to the UK's elite universities for Rugby and Ashlawn school students.
Ashlawn Pathways will include 100 top year 11 students drawn from three local state schools in Rugby. Y11s will participate in learning a range of different subjects in university seminar style learning experiences delivered by Oxbridge and Russell Group university graduates.
This is our principle of providing high attaining young people in the Rugby community with a pathway through an "outstanding" school's sixth form and then on to one of the UK's elite universities.
The event will begin and conclude in the East Hall at Ashlawn with presentations and Q&A sessions led by Antony Fitzpatrick, Schools Liaison Office, Clare College Cambridge. Invited parents and students will be able to ask for advice on how to gain entrance to the UK’s most prestigious universities.
Following this there will be refreshments and a chance for students and parents to speak with the Oxbridge and Russell Group univeristy seminar leaders about paths into top UK universities.
Members of Ashlawn's leadership team will also be present to help you with questions about sixth form applications.
If you have any questions please contact Jude Hunton: Senior Leader, Gifted and Talented, Ashlawn School.
