New Learning Resource Centre |
Over the past three years, the number of students choosing to continue their post-16 studies at Ashlawn has grown tremendously: we now have nearly 350 students in our Sixth Form.
Whilst the Government is encouraging more learners to stay in education beyond the age of 16, more students are choosing Ashlawn as their first choice for study. This is partly because Ashlawn students are achieving higher grades at the end of Year 11, but also because of the high quality of personalised learning and the inclusive environment which the Sixth Form offers. Here, our guiding principle is to nurture an effective social and individual learning ethic in order to provide a unique and crucial experience which improves aspirations of young people in our community.
In response to the increased demand for places at Ashlawn, we plan to invest in the creation of a learning-resources area, at the heart of which will be a new Sixth Form Study Centre. Below are some of our initial plans for your perusal. If you are able to assist the school with this venture or have any comments, we would be happy to hear from you. Please email the school at
