About the aptitude test
The Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Aptitude Test is a one hour examination that helps predict a child’s aptitude for learning modern foreign languages. Ashlawn use the results of the test to help determine those students that would be suitable for studying two languages alongside those who enter through the Selective Admission.
Main test: Morning of Saturday 16th September 2017
The results of the test will be sent out to parents by the 21st October. This is in line with the 11+ test results and is before the deadline for secondary school applications.
Applying for the aptitude test
Applications are through Ashlawn School directly. The deadline for submission is midday on Friday 14th July 2017
